After delving into their acoustic, roots-driven folk in 2019’s The Third Gleam (2020), the brothers have explored a number of social issues on The Avett Brothers’s 2019 release, Closer Than Together. Throughout The Avett Brothers’ many years of music, The Avett Brothers originally formed under the name Nemo, before later evolving into the folk-rock group known today, The band continued to refine their craft, bringing a depth of musical skill and emotion to every performance. They have received Grammy recognition for Best Americana Album for their 2014 release, True Sadness, and continue to gain a following of fans from all over the country who are drawn to the band’s sincere lyrics.
